Scuba Diving at Catalina Island

In addition to enjoying the beaches and landscapes of Catalina Island, you will be able to take part in two scuba diving sessions in its incredible waters. Explore coral gardens and observe tropical fish such as snappers, groupers, angelfish, and stingrays.

The excursion includes a diving suit, air tank for two dives, and a certified dive guide/instructor. The diving depth will depend on your experience level: certified professional divers will be able to explore greater depths, while recreational diving will be adapted to safer, more suitable levels.

ITINERARY:

1) The scuba diving experience at Catalina Island includes the full itinerary of the Catalina Island excursion described in the previous section.

2) The only difference is that, during boarding on the catamaran, a diving instructor provides a brief introductory course for guests who will be doing recreational diving, as well as the necessary instructions for certified divers.

3) The diving activity begins while the rest of the group starts their snorkeling experience. At this point, the diving group separates and, accompanied by the instructor, begins their underwater exploration.

4) While the catamaran continues with the rest of the group, the diving participants board a speedboat to reach a second dive site.

5) At this second location, the second dive is carried out. The experience includes two dives, each lasting approximately 30 minutes.

6) After completing the diving activity, participants arrive by speedboat at Catalina Island, where they enjoy lunch and reunite with the rest of the group.

7) In this way, they experience the full Catalina Island excursion while also enjoying a dedicated scuba diving experience.

The scuba diving experience at Classic Catalina is offered as an add-on service to the Classic Catalina Island excursion. Guests who book the full excursion can add the diving experience at a preferential rate.
If scuba diving is booked independently (without the Classic Catalina excursion), it is considered a private activity. In this case, the price will be higher and will depend on the number of participants in the group.
